Our Beliefs

About God

We believe God is the creator and ruler of all. He eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; each is co-equal because He is one God. We worship and adore Him as the only God. Gen 1:1; Deut6:4; Matt 28:19; John 1:1-3, 14; 10:30

About Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the only-begotten Son of God who is co-equal with God. As the Incarnate God, He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice by dying on the cross to make atonement for the sins of the world. Rising from the dead on the third day, Jesus demonstrated His power over sin and death. Ascending into Heaven to sit at the Father’s right hand, He intercedes for all who seek God. He will return and rule as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is the only way of salvation. Luke 1:30-35; John 1:14, 18; John 3:16; Phil 2:5-8; 3:30-21; Col 2:3-9; Heb 10:5-14; 1 Pet 3:18; Rev 19:11-21; 21-22

About the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son and is present in the world to convict men and women of their sins and enlighten them about Jesus Christ. As God, the Spirit is present and active in every believer’s life, providing power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in living righteous lives. The Spirit provides every believer with a spiritual gift at salvation and guides us daily. John 16:7-8; Rom 8:5-13; 12:3-8; 1 Cor 6:19; 12:13; Eph 1:13-14; 4:30

About the Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s Word, the record of His self-revelation to mankind. It was written by human authors who were divinely inspired and directed by the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and the guide for righteous living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without error. Phil 2:16; Col 3:16; 2 Tim 3:15-16; Heb 4:12; Jas 1:21; 2 Pet 1:19-21

About Salvation

We believe salvation is God’s gift to us. We can never repay God for our sin of rebellion by doing good works or attempting to improve ourselves. Only by repenting of sin and trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s provision for salvation can a person be forgiven by Holy God and rescued from sin’s penalty. Salvation is the result of true repentance, which is turning away from a life of sin and turning to a life with God. Eternal life begins the moment a person places his or her faith in Jesus Christ. John 1:12-13; 3:1-7, 16-18; Acts 16:30-31; Rom 1:16; 10:9-13, 27-29; 2 Cor 5:17; Eph 1:7, 13-14; 1 Pet 1:3-5

About the Church

We believe the church is the Body of Christ and that He is the Head of the Body. The church makes Jesus visible to the world by carrying out His directions, ministering to others, and fulfilling His final commission to reach the lost with the gospel of redemption. The church is comprised of individuals who have experienced a spiritual rebirth through faith in Jesus Christ. Matt 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor 12:12-27; Eph 4:1-6, 12-16;
Col 1:24-29
